Janet is originally from New Paltz, NY but has spent most of her life here in Rochester. She originally went to school to be a cosmetologist but while finishing school she rekindled her passion for animals by working at a kennel; she has been working with animals for close to 5 years now. Janet grew up with deaf parents so she is fluent in American Sign Language and loves being involved in deaf culture. When she is not caring for your pets at Riverside Pet Retreat, you can find her taking her dog Wendy and her cat Vendetta on hikes, kayaking adventures, or curled up watching a horror movie. Her all-time favorite animal is the shark and she hopes to one day go open water swimming with them. She treats all pets like her own and will spoil them with love and attention while they are here!
Erin’s life has always revolved around animals, big and small. When she started volunteering at a farm animal rescue, she knew she had found her passion. She attended SUNY Cobleskill college and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. She worked at her previous job for 5 years, specializing in dog and cat husbandry. She also did an internship at a big cat sanctuary, where she cared for tigers, lions, and leopards! Erin is an avid traveler and also dabbles in photography. Erin is very excited about providing a safe place for your pets and can’t wait to meet them!
Hi! My name is Jericho, but everyone calls me Jerry! My littermates and I were abandoned in a ditch in Texas but we got rescued and I was transferred to a local rescue here in Rochester, NY. I share a house with my older doggy sister Wendy and my brother Burt Toast, as well as my two cat brothers Rocket & Vendetta. My owners love taking me on hikes, and they even take me kayaking with them! When we aren’t going on adventures, I love playing with my toys and snuggling up to my owners. When your dog comes here for the first time, and you want them to socialize, I’ll be the one seeing if they can play safely with other dogs. I listen to other dogs’ body language very well and respect their space until they give me the okay. I cannot wait to meet your dog and make new doggy friends!
